Penerapan Pedekatan Sosial untuk Meningkatkan Kecerdasan Interpersonal Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of children's interpersonal intelligence by applying social
approaches. The subjects in this study were fifth grade students of SD 1 Winduhaji with a total of 21 children. The
object of this research is children's interpersonal intelligence which includes 3 dimensions of social sensitivity, social
understanding and social communication. Data is collected through observation, questionnaires and documentation.
The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in children's interpersonal intelligence through social
approaches, namely children's interpersonal intelligence before the implementation of the social approach obtained the
lowest value 37, the highest score 67 and obtain an average value of 53.67 with a standard deviation of 9.04. And
experiencing an increase after the implementation of the social approach obtained the lowest value of 54, the highest
score of 82 and obtained an average value of 69.67 with a standard deviation of 9.35. This has increased after getting
treatment, the result with a significance level of 0.05 noted that the value of tcount = 5.16> t table = 1.68385. So, the
hypothesis proposed in this study was accepted. Steps taken so that children's interpersonal intelligence increases:
group discussion activities, S3 activities ‘Alms Day as you wish’ (Sedekah Sehari Sesukamu). The conclusion of this
study is that social approaches can improve children's interpersonal intelligence.
